Silent Night!

The Splendour Of Christmas Eve

Now’s the time to start shopping to get your Christmas Eve outfit together so it’s not a last minute panic to find something suitable.

Whether you’re attending a church service, celebrating with friends or staying home with family, you’ll want to spend Christmas Eve in style. It’s about being chic yet comfortable.

This special evening is about feeling warm and relaxed. Aim to look festive while playing with holiday colour and a little sparkle.  Simple trousers, a classic dress or a skirt paired with an elegant jumper or blouse is ideal for a church service followed by dinner, or for a fun night out.

Look stunning in a fabulous dress or skirt worn with simple court shoes or tall black boots. It’s a dressy affair but a time to look polished as well.

Bring a little colour into your evening look by playing with burgundy, deep purple, navy, emerald green, ruby red, and even turquoise.  Winter white is also a classy and beautiful option for Christmas Eve.

Remember to keep accessories to a minimum, especially if you’re wearing white.  Less is more… bring out the elegant simplicity of the fabulous fabric and silhouette.

Cover up with a long wool coat or a faux fur mid-length jacket.  Also, make sure your shoes are comfortable. It may be a long night visiting friends and family, exchanging gifts, or being out on the town.

Some holiday promotions and sales have already begun.  Take advantage of the incredible savings – by finding a deal, you can afford to splurge a little on yourself while shopping for others!  Act quickly though because inventory is low at this time of year and sizes sell out quickly. Some retailers are offering at least 20% off right now.  It’s going to be cold for a while, so it’s time to stock up on all your winter essentials.

Finish off your look with a little extra wrapping.  Try a faux fur stole or scarf pinned with an antique brooch.  And keep your handbag simple.
